In addition to specialized licensure and training programs, I.T.T.I. offers a range of Emergency Response Training to meet your needs. Programs include: Basic Life Support Certification Series, EMS First Responder, Marine First Responder, Diving Rescue and Accident Management, and Private Investigation Training.
Emergency Response
I.T.T.I. offers the American Heart Association’s Complete Basic Life Support Certification Series as well as additional nationally recognized first responder courses to include: CPR for lay public and healthcare professionals, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use, First Aid; Insect Bite Emergency Management EpiPen Administration, Heart-saver for healthcare professionals and Oxygen Administration.

EMS First Responder
I.T.T.I.’s First Responder course is for non-ambulance professional rescuers who are first to arrive at an emergency medical scene to provide pre-hospital care. Topics covered include: patient assessment, basic life support, airway management, oxygen administration, shock, injuries to various body parts, wound management, full body immobilization, techniques for moving patients, emergency childbirth, management of life-threatening emergencies, and initial treatment for other medical emergencies. The course consists of 48 hours of instruction, hands on practical exercises, evaluation components, and emphasizes development of student skills.

Marine First Responder
I.T.T.I.’s Marine First Responder training program is an 8-hour complement to EMS First Responder that focuses on marine and aquatic management of water related emergencies.

Diving Rescue and Accident Management
I.T.T.I. offers Dive Rescue and Accident Management Training programs ranging from 32 to 40 hours of course work specifically focusing on emergency response and management of scuba diving and other water related emergencies. Topics include search and rescue; boating accident prevention, transporting of scuba diving specific injuries, victim transport, advanced emergency medical care, rescue techniques, oxygen administration and MEDEVAC helicopter transfer while at sea.
This course meets the requirements of the American Association of Underwater Scientists for scientific diving programs.
Certain pre-requisites must be met prior to participating in the Diving Rescue and Accident Management training programs. Pre-requisites include: CPR, AED, and First Aid certification; and Diving Rescue Certification from nationally recognized recreational diving program.
Certification in Dive Rescue and Accident Management is coordinated through the hosting organization for Institutional Diving Safety Program
Private Investigative Training
I.T.T.I. also offers Private Investigation Training with focus on Outdoor Crime Scene Investigation; DNA, Serological, and Biological Forensics; Wildlife Forensics; and Underwater Investigations.
DNA, Serological, and Biological Forensics Training is a 12-hour program that focuses on proper evidence collection, field analysis, and submission to proper laboratories.
Wildlife Forensics Training is a 32-hour program that focuses on proper evidence collection, field analysis, and submission to proper laboratories. This is the same course presented to wildlife officers in Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico.
I.T.T.I.’s Underwater Investigations Training program encompasses 40 hours of coursework.
